After having to cancel the morning tours we ventured on to the fjörð for the evening classic and, Oh Man it was indeed a Viking whale watching afternoon. It was quite windy and with quite a swell, but lucky for us the wind and the waves started to fade away as we sailed north. We sailed all the way north to South Hrísey. But there we found a whale soup. So despite the waves and the distance the wait was totally worth it since we had the chance to spot 5 Humpback whales two of them even surfacing together a couple of times.

It was simply whale-tastic, and even in the distance we were also able to spot at leat f-blows from 3 more humpbacks. A great Icelandic summer day without a doubt.
