Environmental Policy

From the start, we have been working towards minimising the environmental impact caused by our activities, with special emphasis put on finding less-polluting energy sources to run our operations and minimising the production of waste.

OUR APPROACH

We believe that responsible tourism begins with the careful use of environmental resources and a commitment to protecting natural heritage and biodiversity. Our approach to sustainability considers the environmental, economic, and socio-cultural dimensions of tourism, recognising the importance of maintaining a balance between them for long-term sustainability.

RESPONSIBLE OPERATIONS

This approach guides the way we operate. We prioritise sustainable purchasing, local partnerships, and compliance with environmental and safety standards, while supporting research, local employment, and trainee opportunities. Our staff receive regular environmental training, and we encourage our guests and partners to share our respect for the marine environment.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Protecting whales, marine wildlife, and their habitats is at the heart of our responsible whale-watching practices. We work to minimise disturbance, reduce waste and unnecessary consumption, increase recycling, and seek less-polluting alternatives wherever possible. By regularly reviewing our environmental performance, we continue to improve our practices and reduce our impact on the environment.
