At last the weather conditions narrowed today into something we call acceptable. We still had some wind coming from the north, so sailing against it must have felt like we have turned into vikings conquering uncharted waters, ramming the waves facing the salty splashes and standing wet and proud. Okay - enough of this nonsense, so we were of course out there on a mission to find some cetaceans.

And we did! This morning we have stumbled upon Disy again, same Humpback Whale we have been meeting last few days, at first it was South East of Hjalteyri. We have had a number of very nice close encounters where we could see many of her dramatic overfluking dives. There was also a Minke Whale spotted aroung the Green Buoy.

Afternoon was rather too windy for the express tour, so we have decided to not torture our visitors (unless you enjoy being brined in sea salt like a herring) and offered them to go on a classic tour (larger boat with some extra comfort)
We found Disy again this time North of the Green Buoy and it kept swimming North, later we almost witnessed a possible interraction of Disy with another Humpback Whale as they went swimming towards each other, but we had to turn back already, so that’s a story for our last tour that has just left now at 17:00.
